Welcome Lauren

Today, September 22 2010, was the day I've been waiting for a long time. It was the day that Lauren was going to finally come to Japan. I took the PM section of work off so that I could go to the Airport and meet her.

By chance I took the Sky Liner, which is a new train that opened up recently in Japan.
I saw this cool bridge on the way to the airport!

So I arrive at Narita Airport with plenty of time to kill. So at first I decide to wait and rest at the meeting point. That didn't last too long, before I decided to explore the airport itself. I go to the observation deck where you can see planes arriving and leaving and happen to see this sign that has to do with photovoltaics. Since I'm so close to becoming an Electrical Engineer, of course, I had take a picture of this!

Other things to see while touring the airport are of course tons of dining areas, where they had many Ramen shops, Thai Food, and just about anything you could think of! What of course was a real surprise to me was there was a giant mall inside of the airport on the 4th floor. Well I thought it was giant. When I was asking my friend about it, she just said "Oh you mean the stores". But I digress, there was a UNIQLO and other clothing stores, duty free shops, and other goodies (that I'll share in a later post).

During some of my down time, I decided to whip out my DS and play...Yoshi's Island.

The plane arrives and reunited we are! Look how happy we are! Haha :)
