Japan Vacation

It was such a rainy day, but that didn't stop us from going out to explore Japan. The first stop was Shinjuku where we were going to go visit the free Governmental buildings to get a view of the city during the day. Then of course we were going to get some ramen to eat, because that is one of Lauren's and my favorite dishes to eat. Yes, we were very photogenic on the train lol.

We made a stop by the game centers to try to pass some of the time by. I wanted to show her the giant drum game that I played with Tanaka-San. I surprisingly got my butt beat in this game!! Afterwards we saw this crane game that has My Neighbor Totoro items in it. Our friend Angie has been hinting to us (by sending us tons of pictures) that she wants a Totoro. So we thought we would try out luck with trying to win her a Totoro. One difference between America and Japan as far as their Video Games, is that American games accepts quarters (0.25) while Japanese games accept 100 円 coins (1.00+). So each try will cost us about a dollar. Let's see how the game goes.

Haha...Sorry Angie...You see we tried!!!!

It was too rainy to go to the governmental buildings so we just wandered around. Then of course we ate more RAMEN! :) We went to this place, because Lauren was craving Ton Katsu Ramen. It was pretty good. Afterwards we head back to the train station for our next adventure!

BUT WAIT...

There's a giant lady taking pictures in front of the station!
She must be taking pictures of us.

Since it was raining all day, I thought a good way to end the day was to take a trip to an Onsen. We went to the Minato Mirai and visited the Manyo Club and go to their Hotel's indoor Onsen.

We arrive through the rain and find the building after asking for directions. We take the elevator to the 7th floor where the workers were very helpful in getting us situated and ready for our dip in the hot water. I had a choice between a Yukata or a two piecer, and of course I decided to go with the Yukata. Lauren had an assortment of different styles to go through. I think she chose the cutest one of the bunch! What do you think?

The dip in the Onsen of course was beyond amazing and was exactly what the day was needing. Our bodies were aching from walking and the coldness of the day. It was good to have the heat of the water relax all the tension within all our muscles. The time that we were allotted for was perfect, it wasn't too long nor was it too short. It was a really relaxing experience. So afterwards we just browsed through the shop and talked the night away. We had a nice view of Cosmoworld from the hotel. So we waited for the clock to turn 11:11 and made our wishes.
