This is it! The day that I finally leave for Japan for the University of the Pacific's Co-Op Program sponsored through the International Engineering Co-Op Program. It feels like forever and a day since I went through the interview process and started the first day of class. I would like to thank all the people that have been very supportive of me during the past semester as it has been one of the hardest semesters I've ever experienced. I remember spending many late nights preparing for my Senior Design, studying for Fundamental Engineering Exam (F.E. Exam), and learning Japanese. I wasn't sure if this day would ever come. This ticket was my first hit with reality that I am actually going.
So my 11 hour flight from San Francisco to Osaka has finally began. This is probably one of the few times that I have been flying AND the ONLY time I've flown by myself. The only time I've flown unsupervised before has been when I went on conferences with my ΩΔΦ Fraternity Brothers. Ten minutes into the flight the flight attendant hands me a Customs and Disembarkment form. I wasn't sure how to fill it out and was worried that I would fill it out incorrectly and have more issues when I landed in Japan.
Now what exactly was I to do for 11 hours...
After a long flight, I finally land on Japan soil. I spend about an hour going through all the paper work to leave the air port. I met up with the others who will be working with JST and we take off to our apartment, eat, then sleep.
